Traverse

The traverse wall is the ideal way to introduce children to climbing activities in safety as travel is horizontal rather than vertical. As the panels are installed at no more than 40cm (16”) from the ground no ropes or harnesses are required and supervision does not call on any specialist skills or knowledge.

The panels are manufactured from weatherproof 18mm thick finish birch ply coated with a UV resistant polypropylene laminate (WBP exterior bonded to EN314-2/Class 3), which can be used with dry wipe markers to mark out routes and is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors.

The panels are supplied in 2440mm x610mm (8’x2’) lengths with one being used for footholds at low level and another at a higher level for handholds. The distance between the two panels can be varied depending on the height of the users. Installation can be carried out in playgrounds, gymnasiums, corridors, infact, anywhere with a solid wall.

Each panel has 27 predrilled holes fitted with t-nuts and each set of 2 panels is supplied complete with 60 handholds of varying sizes with bolts to fit. Fittings are also supplied for installation in brick or breeze block.
